The highly anticipated reconstruction of the iconic Máj department store, a landmark on Národní třída, is nearing completion. On Monday, June 24, 2024, the store opened its doors, inviting visitors to enjoy not only shopping but also fine dining, entertainment, and innovative design, both inside and out. We are proud to have contributed to this project with over 300 exclusive crystal chandeliers custom-made in the Czech Republic.

Lighting Par Excellence
The nine-storey building offers a feast for the senses, and we at ArtCrystal Tomeš have ensured a visual delight. Our contribution includes more than 300 crystal chandeliers, which catch the eye on nearly every floor.
OD Máj boasts the largest number of crystal chandeliers ever installed in a commercial building in the Czech Republic. This provides a unique opportunity to admire the timeless beauty of crystal and experience a moment of aristocratic elegance.
Our collection features a diverse array of lighting, including central ceiling chandeliers, wall lights, and clusters of smaller pendants, all meticulously crafted by Czech master glassmakers.

Demanding Installation
Installing more than 300 chandeliers in just 21 days was a marathon task for our skilled installers. The installation spanned six floors, including the ground floor, home to the largest lighting fixtures - majestic Maria Theresa chandeliers with dynamic lighting and a remarkable 2.5-meter diameter.
Despite the tight deadline, fragile materials, and unconventional challenges, our top installation specialists rose to the occasion. The broken drill bits from drilling into marble in the restroom areas are now just a humorous anecdote.
