Villa Podebrady (CZ)
The initial lighting concept was presented to us by the client. His idea was shaped by an image he found on the internet and aroused his desire for this particular design. The whole process from design to installation of the crystal luminaire was challenging, but the result was worth it. Now a private villa in Poděbrady is home to this unique luminaire that brings joy to its owner with every light.
The preparation phase took about three months, from the first sketches to the final realisation. It was a period of intense planning to ensure that the final chandelier would match the investor's ideas.
The assembly of the chandelier itself required the cooperation of three people and took a total of seven hours. For many projects, fitting a luminaire is a relatively straightforward affair, but in this particular case it presented one of the big challenges.
The interesting thing was that anchoring the luminaire was not as easy as it might seem at first glance. Because the ceiling was made of plasterboard, the luminaire had to be anchored all the way to the joists in the loft. This step was necessary to ensure the stability and safety of the entire luminaire, which weighs 120 kilograms.
The luminaire itself is an impressive piece. Its dimensions are 150 cm in diameter and 50 cm high. Every detail, from the individual crystal elements to the bulbs, has been carefully crafted. The chandelier thus boasts 47 bulbs, which add to its glamorous appearance.
